I am doing peppermint bark this afternoon. I am just double checking with the experts before I do this. I know the bottom layer is dark chocolate and the top is white with crushed peppermint on top. My question is do I flavor the white chocolate peppermint? I think thats what I remember doing before but don't want to waste the chocolate if I am wrong. Thanks!

I would flavor it!

The way I make it is to melt some white almond bark and add in crushed peppermints. Then melt some brown chocolate bark and dollop it alternately on a cookie sheet. I don't add any peppermint to the brown. Then after it is all over the cookie sheet, I swirl the two together with a knife for a marbled effect.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

I don't really measure, but I use more white than brown chocolate....You can't really go wrong.

Mine's just plain white Merckens with crushed Starlight/peppermint candies.

If I were doing a two-tone, I'd not flavor the brown chocolate, and just leave it as it is for a nice, not-overwhelming contrast. icon_smile.gif
