Hi everyone. I need a name for a website that I am working on. My old site went down the tubes I was too limited with it. The old site name was Dessert Carnival but I don't want to use that. I wanted something with a little more heat to it. Something that says fire and sugar. Anyone got any ideas?

Are you changing your business name or just your website?

I like "Sweet Heat". Or even "Sweet Eats".

Website. Don't have a business. This site was just an informational site on sugar work. I like all the names thus far especially Sweet Eats and Sweet Heat.

I vote for Sweet Heat or Sugar Inferno...really like both of those. They're each equally unique and catchy...easy to remember because of those things. Sugar Inferno is a little "edgy" too...or hip sounding. You could do some sort of graphic with flames...might be cool? icon_smile.gif

Ooohh Ooohh!! Just had an idea!! You could have a bag of sugar pouring out and the sugar forming a mound when it hits the "surface" (couldn't think of a better way to put that icon_redface.gif ) Then have small flames start to rise from the top of the mound of sugar as the pouring bag of sugar fades away and the entire mound of sugar slowly turns into flames, getting a little bigger very slowly. Once the flames reach the size you want, then have "Sugar Inferno" name slide into the screen from one side until it's centered over the flames!!! HA! Or a variation of that...what'ya think?? icon_razz.gificon_confused.gif

I like it! But got no idea how to do it. Not exactly a webmaster. Went and bought a web design program but I don't like it. I don't think the site will be as effective if its not animated. I don't know how or what I am going to do at this point. Keep trying though. Anybody got any ideas I am up for reading them.

there are high school and college students desparate for money who could do this whole site for you. and they come cheap....some might even work for food!

call the local schools and see who might be interested.

(their teachers might even let them do it as a project for school..grade and pay..sweet!)

That is such a great suggestion, Doug! I'm not a web designer or anything, but I do play around with graphics alot and have even made a flash once. I'm happy to work on it some & see if I can come up with at least a template for you or something. But I won't be able to do it until after Christmas. I'm leaving on Tuesday for Atlanta and won't be back until a couple of days after the 25th. Let me know if you'd like me to give it a shot and I'll get right to it when I get back home! This could be a lot of fun! icon_razz.gif

surely as doug said you could get it done from website designer students ,they will get experience and you will get it designed perfectly and one more thing when the flames reach the size you want immediately bring out the letters you want in size and texture of pulled sugar ribbons which gives a lot of shine like each letter should be made out of ribbon.

You know, anybody with a few dollars can go to godaddy.com and register the domain name "sugarinferno.com."

If you're serious about developing a website and this is the name you want, you should consider buying the domain ASAP.

At godaddy.com, you can register the domain name for 2 bucks if you buy two months of webhosting (either Windows or Linux) for 8 bucks. Use the promo code "david" to take 10% off, and you have a grand total of $9.14 for one year of domain ownership and two months of non-contracted webhosting. I use godaddy for all of my domains and webhosting and love them!
