I have a wedding cake pan set (1) 6x3 inch (1) 10x3 inch and a 14x3 inch pan set. Does anyone know how many box cake mixes it would take for each one? All the pans are 3 inches deep. I have never used them before and was wanting to make a 3 tier cake for my work Christmas party next week.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a link to how many cups of batter you'll need for each pan: http://www.wilton.com/cake/cakeprep/baking/times/party_3inch.cfm

If you happen to use a mix, I know the Duncan Hines yields about 5 cups per box of mix. It varies from brand to brand, and if you are cooking from scratch you'll have to determine how many cups of batter each recipe makes.

I use Pillsbury and get about 4-4.5 cups of batter per mix. Have you made stacked cakes before? If not you may want to look up some old posts on the subject because you have some extra steps to take to avoid certain disaster! icon_lol.gif Just kidding but it does help to have all the info you can get first!!

Good luck!
