I would make probably 3-4 batches...i always make more, just incasez, and then if u have extra just make sure its sealed tight and you can save it for your next project.

I just covered a 12" round (2 layer), a 10" round (3" pan), an 8" round (2 layer) and a 6" round (3" pan) with 3 batches of MMF. I had a lot of white left over. One batch was tinted a soft pink and I covered the 10" and the 6" with that and still had some left. The 12" round, took almost an entire batch with a little left over and I had to mix another one to cover the 8" layer.

I think you'll need at least 3 batches to do what you're needed and possibly 4 batches. If you do 4, you'll have some leftover but can always use it later. Good luck and post those pics!!

Thanks for the help. I'll do 4. My daughter can cover a small practice cake with the extra.

..I think you will use the better part of 4 batches!! I'd much rather have some left over than not enough!

I'm not sure how many batches you need. I made the MMF in August for a wedding cake and froze the leftover. I didn't make my next fondant covered cake until Nov. and just stuck the frozen ball into the microwave for a bit. It turned out just fine!

I did use the better part of 3 batches and had some of it left. So my Daughter quickly grabbed the Gum Paste cutters. She made all kinds of things. So fun. Any way I did have one entire batch not used so I'll freeze that. Thanks everyone
