Just posted 2 royal icing ornaments that I practiced making. First ones broke so I lightly (ever so lightly) greased the next balloons and just did squiggles to see if I could do it. I do suggest just clipping end of balloon with clip instead of tying it off. And I did leave a bigger hole to get the deflated balloon out.

Any suggestions how I can jazz these up for a cake? I thought maybe making small poinsettias and attach.

They look awesome!! Have you thought about painting them with luster dust? They would look cute with holly leaves and berries, or just on there own!!

Wow they are gorgeous! Not that they really need anything but you could add a gold bow..either ribbon or made of fondant!
