Has anyone bought and used this product (check link below)? If so, what did you think about it?

I bought one over the summer. I like it, although so far the only thing I've used it for is the Giant Ding Dong cake. Works well, though!

My BF bought me one for my birthday last year. WE used it to make an ice cream cake that came out great! It seems a bit odd, but its well worth it!

I was dying for this cake pan and finally bought it for myself. Have only used it once and it works just great if you pay attention to directions....unlike me. icon_redface.gif I tryed the ice cream filled version and got the icecream too soft ( softened in the microwave) so it became soupy, then I filled the cake and froze it. About 4 hours later, I went to cut it and the ice cream oozed out like a rushing river. OOPS!

Works fine otherwise!

I have this pan also, but have yet to use it. But looking at the link you supplied, I don't have the regular pan in my set, just the dome.. Bummer, why would they do that? Now I want the regular one too!!! icon_cry.gif

I found this same betty crocker pan set at www.ltdcommodities.com under the "as seen on tv" section. It's listed for $18.95 way less then on the betty crocker web site, and it's the same product. To be able to order on LTD you have to join and it's free.

Or ....

It is also at Bed Bath & Beyond, for those who have that store in their area .... and you can use the 20 % off coupons that you find in the newspapers on it too!!

I think it retails for about $19 at BB&B as well ...

OOh, I'd skip LTD. Unless you buy in lots of 3 shipping is REALLY expensive, and it takes FOREVER to receive the item.

Check out www.lakeside.com They have the same stuff for the same prices, but shipping is normal and it comes in a normal amt of time too.

Also, I got mine for about $19 at Wal-Mart. And it came with both the dome and regular shaped pans...

I have the dome one and have used it several times. Made white cake, with orange sherbet - was delicious. Made one with layers of strawberry and chocolate whipped cream fillings - absolutely marvelous. I was surprised at how easy it was to use.
