There have been a lot of questions posted on how to make a brick look on buttercream. I had trouble with this myself when I made a castle cake and just ended up using a basketweave tip. But when I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday I was looking for something in the doll house department and saw the coolest mats for making a brick wall on your doll house. The bricks were raised. So I was thinking this would make the perfect impression mat for making bricks in buttercream or fondant. The mat was flexible. Now I am just waiting for them to put the dollhouse accessories on 1/2 price sale!
Have you checked to see if they have a coupon on the internet? There was one in our newspaper for 40% off.
There's a 40% off coupon on the internet....
Here's the link....

Yes, in fact I have half a dozen of those printed off and tucked away in my billfold. But I am kind of using those on Christmas gifts - it is such a pain to buy just one thing at a time! And if I wait just a bit, they will put the doll house on 50% off. 50% is better than 40 I always say!
I have seen an impression mat with bricks on it. They have them at my local cake supply place.
And they also have them here http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/gumpaste/impression-mats/impression-mats.htm
