I'm having a hard time getting a tasty cake made from scratch. My cakes tend to not rise and be dense. Any ideas for recipes that are simple and will result in a yummy fluffy cake? I need 3 recipes: Vanilla, Chocolate, and Carrot. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I have been told that my carrot cake recipe (that is posted on this site) is very simple and very good, but of course you have to be the judge for yourself
