I have a question....a friend of mine ordered the cupcakes featured in the 2005 wilton yearbook for her babyshower. The cupcakes are the ones with the babies under blankies. My question is the event is next Sat. Dec.7, could I start making the babies, pillows and blankets in advance and then just stick them on Friday night?

Why not? If you could keep them wrapped in plastic, and left out of the fridge, they should be fine.

I have also made fondant accents and put them in the freezer for a couple of days in a Tupperwear dish. We you take them out they will actually be soft again once they thaw.
Also, next Sat is not the 7th! You threw me off there! icon_razz.gif
Good luck! Those are so cute!!

Sure..get to work! I made those a few months ago and posted a pic in the gallery section! Here's a little tip...instead of making a log out of fondant for the "body" just pipe the "body" on the cupcake using stiff BC icing. It's a lot cheaper and quicker! Have fun!!

MrsMissey.....thank you so much for that suggestion. I hadn't even thought of that one. I will definately do that. I must take a look at your picture.
