To be honest, the last couple of time I've made these I baked a plain yellow cake just to make them. I used a Duncan Hines yellow cake mix (on sale for $.99) and baked it in a bundt pan. I cut the cake in half: froze one half and used the other half to make the cake balls. What can be simpler? Now I have half a frozen yellow bundt cake in the freezer for the next time I want to make the cake balls. I found that half the cake made about 2 dozen cake balls.
