Do you ever think of the old days? I remember doing wedding cakes in the 80's; lots of large multitiered cakes with pillars...often with satellite cakes. A lot more people wanted dummies then, it seemed; although some of them wanted real cake.
Does anybody else remember doing cakes back then?

my parents got married in '84..my mom said they had a dummy cake b/c times were harder for ppl those days, and ppl got married younger, and they didnt have $1000's to spend on cake..

when i think about it, she makes sense...ppl are better off even younger now-a-days and they get married later in life, which gives them more time to save...i think that has a lot to do with it.
