If I add some meringue powder to Toba's glace icing will it dry harder or faster?? I love the recipe but it takes forever to set up before I can stack the cookies.

I would think adding meringue to the recipe would make it a royal icing. Glace recipes do not contain egg whites or meringue powder.

Take a look at various types of glace icing and you will notice the absence of egg whites.

if you add the meringue powder you will take away the sheen...the purpose of the glace icing is to have that shine..if not...you should maybe consider using the royal icing....or either the recipe that antonia74 has posted...

How long is it taking to set up? I leave mine out overnight and in the morning they are dry.
