I have an order for someone who is receiving a degree to be a librarian. She has pretty much left it open.

This is the information you sent me. In return, I asked for some book titles to maybe at do it.
Master's Degree in Library Science (M.L.S.)
I was a teacher before becoming a SAHM, and one day I will be a school librarian. A special area of interest for me is Children's Literature. I can give you specific titles if you want to include this.
I want it to include the typical things that come to mind when you think of librarians - books, eyeglasses, etc. - and also some graduation caps. I just DON'T want it to be in all browns and blacks, which is what I think of when I think of books and caps and gowns.

Looking for some ideas to go from here.

Thanks,
Tanya

Do you have the book pan? Maybe you could do a cake like a popular children's book. Dr. Seuss, Mother Goose or other nursery rhymes. Good luck! thumbs_up.gif

What came to mind for me was a stack of books, with eye glasses either laying on top or leaning up against the books with a fondant scroll beside the books as a diploma? The books could all be different colours with the titles printed on the spines. Sounds like a fun project. Can hardly wait to see the results. Good luck.

Just got an email from her. Added could have the hungry caterpillar with a graduation cap on or curious george with a diploma.

So, can add these variations to the idea search. Any one done a cake with these subjects?

How much cake are we talking about here?

I am thinking 3 layers each with a different child hood book theme and the topper of C George molded out of gumpaste (keepsake) holding the diploma.

or two stacked -one teired with C George sitting inbetween the pillars.
