I'm from NYC (Brooklyn) and just finish Wilton's Course III. I really like making the gumpaste roses and wanted to learn how to make more flowers. Does anyone know of any courses in the NYC area that teach how to make gumpaste flowers?

Adelia..Hi - I'm from Brooklyn also so was wondering where you took your course? I just started course 1 at the peppermill and the instructor said the place I'm taking the class doesn't usually schedule course 3 unless enough people ask for it...apparently not too many people in the area look to learn fondant icon_confused.gif Anyway..If money isn't a factor Scott Clark Woolley offers classes but he's expensive. Those classes are on my wish list if uncle sam is good to us this year at tax time icon_lol.gif

Hi Cute Cookie
I took my course @Michael's in Staten Island on Richmond Ave. They're not expensive at all but you'll wind up buying all sort of suff... icon_biggrin.gif .I know that Patty Cakes in Queens also give classes but I'm not sure what they charge and what classes they give. Hope this helps!!

Hi guys....Brooklynite here too!!! I never took the course but I know JoMart (they have a website) offers classes. I once contacted the owner (Michael) re: a private class to suit my needs...I don't want to go step by step...I have specific things I need instruction on. He told me I could do that. You can inquire about what classes they offer. They now have 2 locations....Avenue R and Nostrand is the original store. Actually, Paula's Home Cooking visited that store and bought homemade marshmallows.

The second store is in Bay Ridge where there is also the most pubs per capita than anywhere else in the nation. So, decorate and then celebrate!!!
