I am going to do a cookie tree using wiltons kit... How much you charge? I was thinking 15-20.. what do you think?
I made one for last years bake sale and I charged $20.00...I had a hard time selling it because at craft/bake sales people are looking for a deal and don't really understand how much time and effort goes into baking and decorating but if you are doing one for a customer I wouldn't take any less than $20.00.

keep in mind that it takes approx 2 large batches of cookies ... not to mention the time to decorate 24 cookies. I'm not a professional baker but I think 20 minimum and that is a bargain!
I just bought the kit and decided to make 6 for my kids teachers ... I've made three batches of dough and I'm no where near done ... I plan to freeze the cookies and decorate them a few days before giving them out.
Yes!! Where are the instructions....that is sooooo cute! I've got to do one this year for the kids...they'll love it!!
It is a Wilton kit.. I got mine for $10 last year and never used it.... it has the cookie cutters and the instructions in it... It is cheaper than buying all the cutters individually.. you can get them on wilton.com I checked the CC store and they dont have them so I dont know if I can post a link to it or not.. but it is on the wilton site
I have made smaller versions, just using the last 3 smaller cutters. Made 3 of each and stacked just llike the original directions for the bigger tree. I have sold these for $10.00. Lot less time and more of a profit. HTH
This is a kit that wilton has been selling for along time now.I'm not sure if they still make it but it can be found on ebay forsure! Otherwise Michael's or Hobby Lobby should have it.
I made the green one last year with the frosted tips and it was beautiful!!

ooh good idea! I may do that if they dont want to pay $20.. Thanks!
I just bought my kit at wilton.com ... I checked with them and they said that they didn't have any retailers request them this year .. I paid 7.50 + 7.00 shipping .. it takes 20 cookies to make one tree the size approx 8x11... so it is a much bigger version of the one that Mac mentioned
the item number at wilton.com is:
Christmas Cookie Tree Kit Stock Number: 2104-1555
Ok so I talked to the people ordering the tree and they want the large one and a 5 cookie bouquet for a total of $30 for the bouquet and $35 for the tree. YAY!!!!!
thanks for all of the input
