What is used to get a deep red in gumpaste roses or poinsettias? I don't want to change the makeup of gumpaste by adding liquid. Thanks for any help. icon_confused.gif

when i need a deep red, i make my own gumpaste. Then i can displace some of the water in the recipe for a jar of red food coloring. Yes i use a whole jar of super red.

Americolor Red Red works great and doesn't dilute the gumpaste.

You can use a combination of non-toxic chalk and airbrush to color and shade the gumpaste for a realistic effect.
