Wedding Cake Frosting

Buttercream icing for wedding cakes.

Wedding Cake Frosting


  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons clear imitation vanilla extract
  • 8 cups confectioners’ sugar


1 Cream the butter and shortening together until smooth. Gradually add the sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
