I WAS PRACTICING FOR AN UPCOMING WEDDING CAKE AND THIS IS TO ME, THE PERFECT DENSE CAKE MIX FOR STACKING A TIERED CAKE
Perpect dense redvelvet cake mix
- 1 BOX DH RED VELVET MIX
- 1 C A.P. FLOUR
- 3/4 C SUGAR
- 1 TSP BAKING POWDER
- 1 STICK UNSALTED BUTTER, MELTED
- 2/3 C BUTTERMILK
- 1 TSP VINEGAR
- 1/2 TSP VANILLA
- 3 LARGE EGGS
- PREHEAT OVEN AT 350. WITH THE WHISK ATTACHMENT I MIXED ALL DRY INGREDIENTS.THEN ADDED ALL THE REST. SPRAYED AND LINED MY PAN WITH PARCHMENT PAPER. BAKE THE CAKE FOR 50 MINUTES. TURNED OUT GREAT. ** WHEN MAKING BIGGER CAKES BAKE AT 325.** USE ONE THE OVEN’S EXTRA RACKS TO COOL CAKES.

I would think that it means 1 cup of all purpose flour ... well i would think
It means 1cup All Purpose Flour
What icing do you make for this?
This recipe does not make a dense cake. I followed it EXACTLY and it came out like a normal fluffy cake. Don't follow this recipe if you want a fluffy red velvet.
