Cream cheese frosting

This the recipe that I use for the Red Velvet Cake and I love it, you can always use just vanilla or just butter extract

Cream cheese frosting


  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of butter extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup High Ratio shortening
  • 1 cup melted marshmallows
  • 1 (1-pound) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans


  1. Blend cream cheese and shortening together in a mixing bowl. Add extracts marshmallows and sugar and blend. Fold in coconut and nuts. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
