Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Filling

I made this filling for the inside of a chocolate cake, it just so happens to taste exactly like the inside of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 jar marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix marshmallow , peanutbutter and cornsyrup until combined.
  2. You may need to add more corns syrup depending on the amount of oil in the peanut butter, just add a little at a time until you reach the consistency you are looking for.
  3. Thats it, all done and ready to fill your favorite cake.
  4. I recommend a chocolate cake, the combo tastes just like a Reese’s Peanutbutter cup

no clue, but it taste good!

I've used for a couple of my cakes. Taste YUMMY!! I prefer to not use dark chocolate or devil's food cake mix for it bc it seems a little dry to me. But it is super yummy on regular super moist chocolate or swiss chocolate cake mix cakes. And can we talk about how easy it is to make?!! Awesome!! :D

Okay - here's what happened. So I microwave four cups of mini marshmellows with the corn syrup and 1/2 tsp PB flavoring. The flavor was very good. However; the mixture was stringy like taffy. Decided to add in another 1/4 cup of CS. Still thick......so I added 1/2 cup of ready made frosting for the fat. Gave it a 15 sec. blast in the mircowave. This thinned it out and allowed me to spread it on the cake. Really taste yummy. It goes to show when in a pinch "You really can use what's in your pantry".

I used this with a dark chocolate cake, torted and filled then topped with finely chopped dry roasted peanuts. It was delish! This is a keeper for sure!!

I made this and it tasted great with a chocolate cake. It was a little hard to spread on the cake though. It had the consistancy of caramel. Did anyone else have this problem?

Tried this recipe and did not like it. Did not taste like anything but peanut butter. I could not even spread it as a filling. Had to microwave it for a couple of minutes first. When I did cut the cake the filling was just to hard. Will not try this one again.

Perfect Peanut Butter filling. It is exactly what it is supposed to be. Little hard to spread traditionally, but if you slap on a pair of plastic food grade gloves, and spread it with your hands, I find it works pretty well. Easiest method is to use the marshmallow cream. Sometimes I do a little more peanut butter than called for to get it less sticky, and a little easier to spread. My customers who like peanut butter, LOVE this filling. Thank you for posting it.

The consistency of this was terrible to work with. It was extremely hard to mix and spread. The taste was ok, but definitely not worth the effort. I will not be using this again.
