A breakfast idea using leftover cake.
Cake Crumb Muffins
- 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 egg
- 2 TBSP. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 TBSP. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups cake crumbs
- Mix together in order given. Spray a muffin tin. Bake at 375 degrees, 25 minutes or until done.
- * If you donât have enough cake crumbs, you can substitute bread crumbs.
I just made these to try to use up those famous cake crumbs I always have. They were ok...pretty dense and I could taste the egg more than anything. Definitely would add more sugar next time and some sort of flavoring.
