This recipe was given to me by my Grandma Alta when I got married.

Really delicious and it always makes me remember what a great cook my Grandma was!!
Very nice cake. Really moist and flavorful. I didn't put any nuts or raisins in it but it was still delicious. I frosted mine with cream cheese icing and covered it in fondant. I would highly recommend this recipe and will definitely use it again myself.
just made this and it is really the best I have tasted! i made a cream cheese buttercream to frost it and it will be covered in fondant as part of a anniversary cake! thanks for posting the recipe :)
Hi, I believe she means vegetable oil for the "salad oil". This is usually what many people use for their salads. i don't think she is talking about olive oil.
Hi, i want to try this recipe for a birthday but dont know if it will not be oily as i have read from the other recipes and also if it can be covered with fondant?
I tried this cake out for a friend that loves carrot cake and he said that it was the best he'd ever eaten. We love it!
