All Butter Buttercream Ingredients 1# confectioner’s sugar (about 3 1/2 cups)1/4# (1/2 c.) butter or marg, softened1/8 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla extract (or any extract, of course!)3-4 T. milk (or water) Instructions Cream 1/3 of sugar with butter and salt in large bowl. Blend extract, 2 T. milk, and remaining sugar into mixture. Gradually stir remaining milk into frosting until desired consistency is reached.
