This is a really yummy buttercream frosting. It’s just good! This will be ivory unless dye-free butter is used.
All Butter Buttercream
- 1# confectioner’s sugar (about 3 1/2 cups)
- 1/4# (1/2 c.) butter or marg, softened
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract (or any extract, of course!)
- 3-4 T. milk (or water)
- Cream 1/3 of sugar with butter and salt in large bowl. Blend extract, 2 T. milk, and remaining sugar into mixture. Gradually stir remaining milk into frosting until desired consistency is reached.
