French Chocolate Chip Meringues

These melt in your mouth treats are so light and airy, the just remind you of snowflakes!

French Chocolate Chip Meringues


  • 4 egg whites – room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cups mini chocolate chips


  1. 1. Preheat oven to 200*F (96*C)
  2. 2. Butter and flour a baking sheet
  3. 3. In a glass or metal bowl, whip egg whites until still peaks form.
  4. 4. add sugar a little at a time, while whipping at medium speed. Add chocolate chips.
  5. 5. When the mexture becomes stiff and shiny like satin, stop mixing and transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
  6. 6. Pipe meringues onto baking sheet using a large round tip or star tip.
  7. 7. Place the pan into the oven for 3 hours or until the meringues are dry and crispy.
  8. 8. Allow cookies to cool at room temperature before storing in an air tight container.
