This frosting tastes like fudge!! You can adjust the sweetness by adding a little more salt. It will crust over pretty quickly, you can lengthen the time by adding more cream.
Peanut butter buttercream
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. salted butter
- 1/2 c. crisco shortening
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 8 c. powdered sugar (2 lbs.)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- about 1 c. half and half or light cream
- 3-4 tbs. corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Cream together butter, shortening and peanut butter. Add powdered sugar one cup at a time. Frosting will look dry and crumbly. At this point add vanilla and salt, then slowly add half and half and corn syrup until it reaches desired consistency.
