i came up with this when trying to find a buttercream for a client with egg/dairy allergies
it’s not too sweet and crusts well
little to no air bubbles if you keep the mixer on low speed and add all the ingredients at once
CleverCakeLady’s Buttercream (allergy wise)
2 cups Crisco (original)
1 kg icing sugar (sifted if you wish)
1/2 Cup flour (all purpose)
2 Tbsp vanilla (clear if you want white icing!)
6 Tbsp water
1/4 tsp vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
add ALL ingredients to kitchen aid bowl.
using kitchen aid with paddle attachement STIR until just combined. stop, scrape bowl and paddle. turn on SPEED 2 and mix 5 minutes. stop, scrape bowl and paddle. turn on STIR and mix 5 minutes more. transfer to airtight container for storage – no need to refrigerate.
nutrition information? are you kidding me?! it’s lard and sugar so it must be good for you!
