Kim’s Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting


  • 8oz cream cheese

  • 1lb powdered sugar
  • 1stick real butter
  • 1t vanilla
  • 1/2-3/4t lemon extract


  1. Cream cc and butter (both at room temp), add extracts. Mixing on low add powdered sugar and enough water to reach desired consistency.
  2. Sorry if this seems a little vague, but I just made it up as I was making it the other day.

This frosting got amazing reviews at my daughter's communion. The only thing I'd do different to make it very lemony is use lemon oil in place of lemon extract.

This was yummy, but yes, it needed a bit more lemon flavor. I put in a bit more extract and 1 lemon's worth of zest. Next time I would try without the vanilla extract, just the lemon.
