A very soft and fluffy pumpkin cookie.

THE BEST pumpkin cookies


  • 1c. sugar
  • 1c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/2c. shortening
  • 1Tbsp. grated orange peel
  • 2c. all-purpose flour
  • 1tsp. baking powder
  • 1tsp. baking soda
  • 1tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4tsp. salt


  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, pumpkin, shortening and orange peel. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown, 8-10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool.

I don’t know, but it has pumpkin so it must be healthy!!
