Powder Milk Roses

This is an extremely easy recipe that you can use instead of fondant or sugarpaste. No measuring necessary.
Advantage: It tastes milky so most of your guests will eat the rose instead of putting it aside.I’ll also post a picture of such a rose.
Disadvantage:It tends to dry quickly so you have to work fast. If it does dry, add more water.

Powder Milk Roses

Ingredients

  • Powder milk with sugar added
  • Water
  • Food coloring

Instructions

  1. Depending on what you want to do (roses, cover a cake) take an amount of sweet powder milk. Add water and food coloring little at a time and form a dough. If it’s too soft add more powder milk, if it’s too hard add water. Mold it into the desired shape.
  2. Notes: Wet your hands with water or oil when forming the rose.
  3. If you use unsweeten powder milk you have to work with two parts powder milk, one part confectioner’s sugar, water and food coloring.
