The kids love these cookies because they say that they look like cow pies on the farm covered in snow! Aside from the name, they are VERY delicious!
Snow Covered Cow Pies
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. sugar
2 t. vanilla extract
2/3 c. baking cocoa
1 t. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
4 c. of Nestle Swirled Semi-Sweet Chocolate and White Chocolate Morsels (If you cannot find these, you can use 2 c. of semi-sweet and 2 c. of white)
Cream butter, sugars and vanilla until fluffy; blend in cocoa, eggs and baking soda. Add flour; mix well. Fold in chips; shape dough into 1-1/2 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on greased baking sheets; bake at 325 degrees for 14 to 16 minutes. Cool on cookie racks for 2 minutes. Cover in powdered sugar.
Hint: If you want them to be larger and more realistic, roll out cookie dough with an ice cream scoop and bake for 17-19 minutes.
