This is an easy, great tasting pound cake.
Easy Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups (4 sticks) sweet unsalted butter
- 1 pound confectioners’ sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 pound all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Butter a 9 1/2-inch tube pan.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the butter and
- sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one by one, beating well after each
- addition.
- Then add the flour to the mixture, a little at a time.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
