Molasses cookies

These are a fall favorite.

Ingredients

  • Here’s my molasses cookie recipe…hope you like it.
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup black molasses
  • 2 1/4 cups self rising flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup sugar to roll dough in-I like to use demerara cane sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar & butter, add egg & molasses. Mix flour & spices. Add to butter mixture until all incorporated. Chill dough for 2 hours. When dough is chilled roll heaping tsp into ball. Roll balls in cane sugar. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
