These are a fall favorite.
- Here’s my molasses cookie recipe…hope you like it.
3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup black molasses
- 2 1/4 cups self rising flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup sugar to roll dough in-I like to use demerara cane sugar
- Cream sugar & butter, add egg & molasses. Mix flour & spices. Add to butter mixture until all incorporated. Chill dough for 2 hours. When dough is chilled roll heaping tsp into ball. Roll balls in cane sugar. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
