My Grandmother handed down her famous German Chocolate Icing recipe to me and I couldn’t wait to share it with each of you. Mix it and enjoy.
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Cup Half and Half
- 1/2 Cup Margarine
- 3 Large Egg Yolks
- 1-1/2 Cup Coconut
- 1 Cup Pecans (cookie chopped)
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- On Low to Medium and in large 2 Quart sauce pot, add sugar, half and half, margarine together with a wisk. Add the egg yolks lightly beaten. Wisk continually until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from stove top and add in vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Allow to cool before applying to cake.
