A friend of mine works for Krispie Kreme donuts and he gave me this recipe. It’s amazingly awesome!! It taste just like a chocolate cream filled donut from KK! Love it, and hope you do too.
- 1/2 Cup Crisco
- 1/2 Cup Margarine
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 4 Cups Powdered Sugar (1 lb)
- 2 Tbl. Milk or Water (I prefer to use Half and Half)
- 4 Tbl. Cocoa
Blend Oil and Margaine in mixer on low speed. Slowly add 2 cups of powdered sugar with cocoa into the mix. Slowly add vanilla, water/milk and remaining powdered sugar. Mix on medium speed; It will get clumpy, but just keep mixing. It will smooth to a light creamy consistancy. If you want to thin it out more, just add a bit more milk/water to the mix until it has reached your desired consistancy.
If your cake is going to sit out at room temperature, I suggest using water instead of milk. It tastes just as yummy. Enjoy.
