Sweetlybaked -- They're a Dutch cookie, but assuming you're in the U.S., I've found them at Whole Foods, but I'd assume a lot of grocery stores have them. Check the cookie section of your grocery store. They are quite tasty!

Sounds great but, can you tell us what the cookies look like or what they contain? This would be helpful if they do not go by their true name here in the states. Thanks so much.

cakegrandma: I have never seen them go by any other name than stroopwafels. The description above (caramel, waffle biscuits) is a good start. They are flat, thin round waffle looking cookies with a thin layer of caramel in the middle. They are one of my favorite cookies! I have found them at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Fresh Market and World Market. I have bought them in a bag as well as a box.

Thanks for the reply and sorry but I did not realize you had answered. I can probably find them at Fresh Market here where I live. Giving the names of some stores that you have purchased them at helped immensely.

World Market sells them, you can check there if your city has one. Some Walmarts carry them too, but they are not very big. Ingrid71 is right they are delicious. My boys fell in love with them when we lived in Holland. Happy baking!! Krista
