Great in cakes, as a strawberry dipping sauce or whatever you need a nice chocolate sauce for.
- 1/4 cup powder sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (or 2 tbsp of flour)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 can (12oz) evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
In a medium saucepan, mix powdered sugar, cornstarch and cocoa powder together. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
Add chocolate pieces and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture just begins to boil and has thicken.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled.
