This is a fast and easy recipe, the last version of this recipe didnât publish all the way so here are the last of the directions added to it.
- Cream together:
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 med. whole egg or 2 sm. egg yolks
Sift together and and add to mixture:
- 1/2 tsp. of salt
- 2tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- Blend into mixture 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Roll until about 1\2 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters and bake 350 degree preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Do not let them get brown for soft chewy cookies. For extra sparkle and color, glaze your cookies using 3/4 cup sifted confectionersâ sugar and 3-4 teaspoons water. Blend together, not to get real thick or thin. Brush on using pastry brush while cookie is warm.
