Can you please clarify your instructions? I don't completely understand the steps... Are the measurements for 2 or 3 cheesecakes? When do we pour into crusts? Does it have to be cooked?

A "water bath" is just a pan of water placed into an oven. The hot water provides a constant, steady heat source and ensures even, slow cooking for recipes that call for a water bath. The best type of pan to use for a water bath is a roasting pan or other pan with sides at least 1-1/2 to 2 inches high. That will allow you to put enough water into the pan so it won't all evaporate before your cheesecake has baked. The best way to prepare a water bath is to put your cheesecake into a roasting pan, place the pan into the oven, and add enough hot water to reach halfway up the pan. ***If you use a spring form pan for a recipe that calls for a water bath, wrap the pan first with aluminum foil to prevent water from leaking through the bottom. Use two or three sheets in a crisscross pattern for best results. I am not exactly sure where I originally got this information, however it has helped me many times. Good luck!

Is this recipe for 2 or 3 pies can you use a spring form pan and does it have to go in a water bath if you use the pie shells? Do you cool the cake the put the toppings or do you put it on the hoe cake?

The oreo crust is like a 9 inch pie correct? it is not a crust that fits into a springform pan right? I am making this cake for thursday so I want to make sure I get everything correct when I go shopping on Monday. Also can I make this cake on Tuesday for Thursday.

on

hello yes this is an oreo cookie crust premade!! i like this because they have a lid so you can close the cheesecakes.yes you can remove the oreo cookie crust and place it on your springform pan thats what i do. also i use the caramel from smart and final old fashion caramel thats the name of it. yes you can make ahead of time and leave in fridge for no longer than 5 days but you might want to hold off on the toppings tho until the day youre going to eat it, this is really good!!!!

Here's really easy way to make your own crust. By the way I have my own Cheesecake business. You need to crumble in a blender or food processor about 12 to 15 oroe cookies in a bowl. Then you melt and pour 8 tblespoon of butter ( 1 stick) any kind you prefer salted or unsalted or the crumbled cookies and mix together until its mixed very well. Then pour cookie mixture in to a spring form pan and press cookie mixture over the entire bottom of pan until its completely covered, can use a spoon to do this or your hands. Next, bake for 10 min. on a preheated 300 degree oven. Once that done let it cool for 15 to 20 min. before you pour you cheesecake mixture in you pan. Also, that recipe sounds like my Rocky Road.

I made this recipe for today's Thanksgiving meal! It was a huge hit... I changed a few things up and used a springform pan. The amount of filling was perfect for the 9" pan. I made a homemade cookie crust. The cheesecake cooked 1 hour 15 minutes.
