can butter be used instead of margarine or is the water content of margarine in this recipe important? can't wait to try!
I just made this identical cake last night, a recipe I made when I was growing up in SW Minn., last made by me probably 30 years ago. I am making a friends wedding cake, part will be chocolate and this is the first recipe I tried last night. Today I look for other recipes to test and saw this one. Guess some recipes just stick around and spread around. Haven't tasted it yet though to see if it is as good as I remember.
