6,8,10, and 12- I was so excited to try stenciling on the side of a cake! It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, but VERY time consuming. I masked off the top with painters tape so it would have a clean edge on top. Then used a putty knife to spread on the royal icing.
Thank you all for the great comments! I used a RI that was not runny, but did not form stiff peaks. It should be right in the middle. I think the bleeding would be more of an issue in humid climates, but I am in AZ- so not a problem.
You're a perfectionist! I LOVE it! Beautiful cake... I'm doing a stacked squares wedding cake in December and this is inspiring Can you tell me how many this serves? I, too, am amazed that you got this result on a first attempt! Kudoz!
