I was a bit nervous about doing this cake. My first car! I used the wilton car pan... But seeing that looks like a VW, I'm very pleased I managed to make it look like a sports car. I carved the front, the top and the back.. Then used the excess cake mixed with ganache to 'shape' the rest. This is a choc mud, covered in ganache, then fondant. The wheels are 50/50 and if I ever do this again, I'll let them dry an extra day. The back two tires look like they have flats! It also had a spoiler on the back which broke 30min before pick up and I had to do emergency surgery on the boot.. haha. But over all, I'm very happy with this little guy. :)
