This was for a close friends with a Halloween birthday. Her parents both passed away recently (in the last couple of years), and her mom used to make her pumpkin cheesecake for her birthday. I made a variant on that: alternating layers pumpkin spice cake and chocolate espresso cake, with alternating fillings of pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate ganache. MFF details. So much fun! I was a little unsure, since I didn't want to overstep my boundaries by trying to copy what her mom did for her every birthdya.
