This was for my BIL. My sister designed it for him. The top is pina colada, the bottom carrot cake, pineapple bc. Nails are GP, the rest of the tools are RKT. The measuring tape is is real. The wooden sign on top is made from popsicle sticks airbrushed. I made the wood grain using a frosting comb and made the knots using a paint brush. I am a CSM and always Thanks for looking!

CSM: This is an awesome cake and design! I love how you did the woodgrain design and airbrushing job is excellent. I have to agree with the others about the scale of the tools though and also thought it would have looked really good if you could have had the metal parts shine. The sign looks awesome to btw! Smile Great job, bet your BIL love it! Smile

CSM: That wood grain is just too cool! I really like the sign too! Critique wise, I the tools need to be in scale better (that pencil is HUGE!) and they also look a little lumpy.

CSM - love the sign - it's so cute. I agree that the tools could be smoother. I also would have tried to get the folds in the measuring tape out - I think it would have looked a bit cleaner if the trim was smooth. Overall, a wonderful cake - the wood looks fabulous!

CSM: Great wood grain! Love the idea of the measuring tape border, but agree withpastryjen, I think it would look better laying flat. I also would like to see the grey "metal" dusted with silver luster dust. I like the HBD sign Smile .

CSM: wood grain is top notch!! I agree about the tools needing to scaled down and the saw should be longer. But it's an awesome design- I love the measuring tape for the borders

CSM: fantastic job on the wood grain!! I love the nails, they add a great dimension! I also agree that a metalic shine to the silver pieces would have been a nice touch! overall this cake is wonderful!!

CSM: Very cool guy's cake! I like the tape measure and the "board" for your cake board. Love your GP pencil & hammer & nail! Cool wood grain. Like even how you made a "split" where the nail sticks out. Bday sign is good, too. Love that wood handle grain on the saw. I would have been aweseom to see a few teeth marks in the saw..but don't even ask me how to put them in! Laughing (ya, pencils a bit big, but I've seen huge pencils before Rolling Eyes ) I like the cake stacked up Very Happy Like a real woodsma...

CSM: The wood work on this is great! I think the pencil could have been a bit less bulky and also the saw. Other than that, really cute!
