Pink Sugarflowers

Pink Sugarflowers on Cake Central

Another request for this cake. Tried to mix things up a bit and go with pink. Not sure I like the pink.

I like it! I like the pink and orange combo. I need to get me one of those extruders. I just love the look of those flowers!

You know I think I would like it better with a white back groung. But I love this cute flower design. Tell me are they royal or fondant?

I think everyone hits their "save" button on these! I like the Pink AND the White. If I was going for a totally pink, pink,, pink look -- the this is it! I like the top flower best, cute the way you have the green stem standing up like that. Can flowers be made you think with the Play-Doh fun factory? :D

I'm glad you like my cakes. Thanks for the compliments. My kids used to have a fun factory but I can't remember what kind of shapes it extrudes. I used two sized disks with my clay extruder. The fat ones were about a 3/16 inch diameter circle disk. the thin ones were about 1/8 inch. I use Makin's ultimate clay extruder. Its the green metal one they sell at Michaels that cranks on a screw rather than with a push plunger. Hope this helps.

I love this. The flowers look a little heavy...how did you attach them successfully to the side of the cake?

Thanks for your nice comments, everybody! The flowers are a little heavy. I use piping gel to attach them and kind of press them into the well chilled icing and hold for a few seconds. Some slide a little at first but the gel seems to firm up, maybe with the cold of the icing. I chill the cake well after the flowers are placed to set them into the icing.
