I think this idea is the most incredible thing I've heard!!! You are soooo nice in letting all of us be part of this special day and I want to say congrats!!!!
Keep track of all the people who actually do help... maybe you'll break a Guiness World Record...?????
Thanks again, good luck and I'll wish you all the best.

I was thinking about the international shipping "Glitch" today while working....(I am sure Jackie or Heath will correct me if this is overstepping some boundaries)....But, for those overseas wishing to participate in this event.....Isn't there some way we could forward the "Wedding pack" from a U.S. location to them or a central location overseas to be dispersed from one address?.....or would Global waive the minimum order requirement for this ONE event?.....(has anyone asked Global about this?).....Just thinking out loud ....Please delete this if you feel it will cause "Issues"...........Mark |

I think I'll play a little on the weekend.
One question Jackie; is there a minimum size. I just don't want to make something out of proportion.
thanks I'll post a pic of my experiments |

Thank you Jackie
I thought I'd read that but couldn't figure out where
You also mention gum paste roses for your bouquet. Are they the same colors? Maybe that would be a way for the international CCr's to participate. |

Yes my roses will be colored and white. So you are right, if any international CCers want to participate but cannot get the kit with colors, you could definitely create some white, sparkle, or pearl roses. |

I am so excited to order my kit. DH put me on a cake budget. Something about this past order, IDK, 2 boxes of fun stuff. It will be fun to see the final pics. You will have to get a myspace or whatever space for all the wedding pics for the CCers. |

Jakie, oh my gosh, I had no idea you were so close. I would love to join in, i"m not so creative with pieces although I could try. I am pritty good with roses though. Or is it to late for me to help out. Let me know, Thanks, LadyBug
P.S.I could also travel to help out, I'm only in Idaho, however i'm sure you have that side more than covered with more than capable cake decorators up their.
Let me know I'll check out the kit stuff, thanks. THis is going to be FUN! |

First Congratulations!
I think this is such a great and novel way to allow everyone who is interested to share in making your cake. I hope that the Food Network or another group will highlight this unique event for everyone to see. Not only will it be a beautiful cake it will be such a wonderful symbol of giving, sharing and friendship.
BTW -I guess you don't plan to send anyone to pick up a tiered cake with buttercream, roses, complete with the message "Happy Married Life" for you???? |

Just a thought, how about setting up a gallery like you do for the contests. People could upload the pics of their pieces for all to see, you could see the progress of how things are going. You would not need a comment section really and you could end the gallery with the final piece, the finished cake. |

They actually did create a gallery! http://www.cakecentral.com/mod.....ry&aid=180
It's empty right now, of course - can't imagine anyone would have gotten their colors ordered and a piece done and dried this fast . |

Jackie,
I think this site is so cool. Your Aunt Teri sent me the link to this site. I look forward to seeing the real photos of you and your husband to be cutting into the cake. If you haven't figured it out yet...I am your great aunt from Oklahoma. I look forward to checking out the rest of the site.
Hugs and Congrats......Aunt Mary |
