The wedding is this Saturday!! We can hardly wait!
We only received peices from a few people, but they are all incredible! The peices are going to be incorporated into the cake topper!
The cake itself is pretty impressive! Over 8.5 feet tall!! And that does not include the height of the table! wow!!!
I have been working closely with a local CCr leannewinslow. She is actually baking all of the cake! From scratch no less! And she has helped me rework the cake idea into something amazing! We tried about 15 different ideas to get as many chandelier shapes as we could but just kept falling short, so we ended up scrapping most of our 3 weeks of work That was definitely hard to do, but we are cake decorators and cake decorators never give up! There is always a solution somewhere
not to worry! after some creative brainstorming we came up with a new idea using sugar flowers and we both think it looks amazing!
This was definitely a labor of love & a family affair! My wonderful mother, step-father Bruce, Leanne & myself have been working feverishly for a few weeks but are super happy with the results! We used quite a few different techniques, airbrushing, dry brushing stencils, and gumpaste sugar flowers and leaves. And Luster Dust, Luster Dust, Luster Dust!
And the best part is the topper on this cake is going to be hands-down amazing! I can't wait to show you all photos!
I think most of us cake decorators can sometimes get down to Plan X from Plan A when trying something new for the first time! And this was certainly the case! Thank cake for cakecentral.com!
Doing something like the cakecentral wedding cake project (as far as I know) has never been attempted before, so we really didnt know what to expect. But as you can see from the gallery:
http://www.cakecentral.com/mod.....ry&aid=180
mommikicksbutt, mary-ann, adven68, TiaCakes, KathysCC all made amazing peices, and the best part was there was absolutely NO breakage in transport!
Thank you all for your love and support! Heath & I are so blessed to be a part of one of the best communities of people in the world!
A big thank you to everyone that tried to participate and for all of the lovely messages you have sent Heath & I.
And a special thanks to mommikicksbutt, mary-ann, adven68, TiaCakes, KathysCC for the beautiful work gumpaste work!
Sorry for all the the grammatical/spelling errors and rambling, I definitely have wedding on the brain |

Absolutely. Happy Marriage! My husband and I got married this same weekend 5 years ago. Make sure to slow down and really take in as many moments as you can. It will go by in a blur if you don't. |

From what I can see the cake turned out beautifully. I haven't seen any other pictures to see if there are any more gumpaste ornaments on it. I submitted my offer to help with the baking and assembling of the cake but was extremely disappointed to never hear back about it. It would have been a wonderful opportunity to possibly meet Heath and Jackie and other CC'rs and to work on such an amazing project together!!
Congratulations Heath and Jackie. May you two have a long and happy future together!
