Cricut is a machine the size of a printer and it's use for cutting paper for scrapbooking projects and the newer model cuts even fabric in million of things and shapes, it has many cartriges from letter fonts to shapes to characters, I mean anything! Maybe if you goggle it you can get a better explanation. HTH Wink

I just did a download of the link and it seems to be the same as the cricut design studio which I already have. For those of us that can't get the DVD right now, can someone please give us a hint as to how exactly we use the cricut for gumpaste and such!
Thank you!

I have a wishblade - wonder if it would work? It is basically the same as a cricut but uses the computer! How cool!

....I agree...please?

CC-ers help each other with the most complicated topsy cakes, intricate fondant figures, amazing gumpaste flowers.....it can't be THAT complicated can it?

On the website given by the OP there is a short video on how it works. Go to the "order DVD" page and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There are two videos. The first one shows it.

Not really....I watched it. She runs it through the machine, but doesn't address how thin to roll, how long to let it dry, how to put it on the carrier sheet, and any settings for the blade etc.

I'm still researching what kind of Cricut I want to get and what exactly they can do, etc. but I'm going to jump right in here with a link to another thread that has videos on how the Cricut works and such. Obviously it doesn't look like anyone is willing to share the wealth. Ok, I for one am not worried about sharing some insight on what I know and how I gained the knowledge. So Tug, I'm going to put you in my buddy list and if I get the DVD before you do, I will PM you with instructions. How does that sound?

Well I don't think anyone can share what they don't know. Up until yesterday, I had no clue that these videos even existed! That's why I thought the clip on the website was a wealth of information. Sorry that no one else has the details either. This is probably new to most of us.

So glad to get some info on this as since I originally asked several months ago! Someone else must have had the same ideas/wonders I did...Great info!

I'm thinking about ordering this DVD, but I want to know an estimate of how much everything costs. I know how much the machine will cost, but what else do you have to purchase?
Also, can you use JoAnn/Micheal's coupon to purchase the Cricut? Where's the cheapest place to get it?
Thx!

I can't answer your other questions, but have always noticed that Cricut products were always exclued from the % off coupons.

Ladies it's a holiday weekend. Most people are enjoying their time off with family and friends. That doesn't necessarily mean they're holding out on you. I've seen plenty of times where answers don't come for a week or more when a question gets revived. It's not uncommon you know. Smile
