Biggest Flop Birthday Cake
I did this on vacation with minimal tools, was not satisfied with the first way I wrote Happy Birthday, so I scraped it off and tried again, but the mocha icing didn't dry the same color. Everyone thought it was a special box for the writing, if I had bordered it, it would have looked a lot better. Oh well, live and learn.

Ribbon And Roses
A 14-10-8-6 French Vanilla and Chocolate tiers with pink ribbon and fresh roses. The icing was so much smoother at home and then wrinkled in transport. I was so disappointed. The good news is the picture makes it looks worse than it looked in real life, so I guess if there's an upside...

Castle
This was my first castle cake and I was very happy at how it turned out. The main building is 8X8X5 in Vanilla Butter cake with Bevarian chocolat cream filling. It was for a 12yr old boy's birthday. The father had ordered the figures online and asked me to work them into the design. You can't tell in the pic but there are little guys in the towers that you can see through the doorways and in the main door behind the gate.

Juniors_Cake.jpg
This is 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 vanilla cake with all BC frosting. The old guy's face the hardest to do. I had to have my husband's advice on the placement of lines. Then I messed up a bit on the border and the green frosting was a mixture of different greens, so the fixed part kind of shows. but the buyer was happy with it!
