Color Images on Cake Central
A Cinderella Wedding
I created this cake for a Cinderella inspired wedding in DC. The cake features the pantone color of the year, serenity blue - which I color matched to the brides ribbon. The cake has lots of romantic white florals and blossoms cascading up and down the cake. I added the topper to coincide with the brides theme.
New York Landmark Cake
A cake for a New York lover turning 50. It is based on the beautiful London landmark cake by Rachelle's, but I added more landmarks and more color by request. Each piece is handcut from gumpaste, then the landmark is drawn on with non-toxic pen. Customer was advised to remove landmarks before eating.
Blush Color Cake With Vintage Flare
Love the subtle and feminine look of this cake. The blush color makes it delicate and sweet.
Bas Relief Wedding Cake
A little bas relief, a little sugar lace, a little pop of color with the frilled peach gumpaste peony and a lot of love. :)
Rainbow Connection - 2/14/15- Part of the wonderful Be My Valentine Collaboration, dedicated to all who would like to be in love without boundaries, without fear or discrimination. We believe, everyone has the right to be loved and be in love freely. "Love with no boundaries. Your future depends on your capacity to love " Paulo Coelho My personal vision was to portray the full-spectrum, vibrant, dancing energetic connection two concious beings can make. I attempted to symbolize the shared creation that fills both beings with thrilling light, hope, and Love and Color...independent of the differences of the body like skin color, religion, age, or gender. It could be said that this sculpture is also about Agape, or Pure Love, which can be between any beings who recognize each other in mutual admiration and connection. Maybe that is why the tune that kept running through my head while creating this was: "Someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection, the Lovers, the Dreamers, and Me"! Happy Valentines Day to you and your Loved Ones, and Thank You Hajnalka for a Collab well-run! Striped Valentine Cake
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is powerful, love is strong, love is BOLD. Graduated black and white stripes give a graphic, modern feeling to this cake. The marbled, textured, red heart add just a pop of color on the center tier.
American Bald Eagle "world Animal Day 2016"
This is my piece for the World Animal Day 2016 collaboration hosted by the super talented Sharon Spradley. This was my first collab and I was super excited to be asked. We had to do an animal from our native country. My country being the United States I thought there would be nothing more fitting than the American Bald Eagle. I chose this not just because of the obvious reason but also in part due to my Native American heritage and the other part due to it’s amazing climb from being almost extinct to thriving. I encourage you to go over to the collaboration and check out all of the amazing cakes that were done for this collab. My cake body was covered in chocolate as the under layer. The feathers were made with a mixture of gumpaste, modeling chocolate, and fondant. Each feather was painstakingly cut veined and dusted by hand using a leaf cutter and vein mold. The head and feet were done using modeling chocolate and covered in fondant and the eyes where made using isomalt and an edible image. The cake was dusted and airbrushed for color and depth. https://www.facebook.com/worldanimaldaycollaboration2016/ https://www.facebook.com/tammymashburnsedibleart/
Turqouise Debut Cake
The debutante loves the color turqouise so the mom requested me to make a cake in the same color. The bottom tier has the woodgrain faded effect.
Vintage Feather Wedding Cake
I love the movement of sugar feathers, keeping them monochromatic gives them a stone-like look. Strands of edible sugar pearls and fishnet lace combine for a vintage feel on this tall, modern cake. Deep, red, gumpaste rose buds add a dramatic pop of color.
Bunny cake for a friends daughter. Her birthday is around Easter. The mother found a similar cake. The rabbits head is RK with modeling chocolate face and gum paste ears. I air brushed the cake and got it took dark, so I used a brush and did a finger paining effect to take some of the color off.
